Hi,
What licensing exams are dentistry students in Canada required to take? I know that in the US, they include the NDBE1, NDBE2, and the licensing examination upon graduation, but I would appreciate anymore information on the Canadian process. Thanks in advance. |

www.ndeb.ca
There are no regional boards (NERB/CDRT/WREB etc) so just get the clinical requirements done with and that's it. |

Hi Toothy Jr,
Is the NDEB scored as pass/fail or are graduates given a specific score on the test? If there is a specific score, does that score have an bearing on applicant's chance or being admitted to a competitive residency? Thanks. |

By residency do you mean specialty, or GPR? I am not totally sure about that but class ranking and reference letters seem to carry the most weight.
And yes, I believe there is a numerical score. |

Hi
Yes, I meant to say a specialty. So in other words, do you just need to pass the NDEB or do you need to score in a very high percentile of the NDEB to be considered for a competitive speciality such as ortho or OMFS? Thanks |
