Default Mock MMI Interview Session

Hey guys,

Every year, we offer a free mock MMI session for premeds and will continue this tradition this year. This session is usually offered later in the year, however, we wanted to try and offer it earlier this year (late July/early August) and wanted to gauge interest in the session since it costs us considerable time and money in getting help from busy med students and it would be a waste if there was not adequate interest.
If you are planning on applying to a MMI based school, and would be interested in this mock session, please let us know at info@mdconsultants.ca or through www.mdconsultants.ca
Please include you name, and the school you will be applying to if you choose to email us.

LOL I don't understand how a company like MD Consultants actually makes money. I've gotten more than enough FREE information on PM101 and each medical school's website to understand the application process and many schools offer FREE MMI / panel interview sessions and FREE premed counselling by counsellors who have gotten hundreds of students in. I guess if someone is lazy / too stupid to find all that info though it makes sense.

You'd be surprised. These services are intimately familiar with the entire application process, and many students seek them out.

We try and customize our services to each applicant since every applicant brings a unique perspective and has different strengths/weaknesses. Students that we have helped in the past often have already done their background research before seeking us out and have been very satisfied with our services (because the majority of them get into medical school). While career counselors at universities are a good resource, it is often useful to sit down with a medical student and thoroughly discuss your application and strategy and work on a few different aspects. While some applicants already may have access to medical students through friends or family, the majority don't and we are able to bridge that gap by providing them with that resource if needed. We operate on an extremely modest budget, just enough to account for operating costs and hence are able to keep our prices very reasonable

We have opened up a few more interview and application spots. If you are interested, please send an email to info@mdconsultants.ca

LOL, I'd have jumped at the chance of another free mock MMI in my area last year. I've gotten lots of info too, but extra practice is extra practice, can't go wrong there. I did my undergrad at UTM, and we had one mock MMI session, two would've been nice. I think there's a difference between finding info and getting critiqued once you've found the info and made up answers to reflect it.

At Western, they have multiple MMI mock sessions for free that were superb and very accurately reflected the real thing (including moving from room to room, timing, prompts, wearing a suit, etc.) If anyone reading this is from Western, look to the Student Resources Centre for these.
