I kind of think you may be right. This year seems to be the most prolonged wait for waitlisters at UBC yet... I mean they use to know after 4 days, we are already 9 days after May 15th... I find that the longer we go without knowing, the more it bugs me. I have been checking premed101 on my iphone like every 30 minutes to see if anyone has found anything out... getting unhealthy!

I'm thinking some people will hear by tomorrow, and I've got my fingers, toes, and arms crossed. I am not going to let it ruin my day though. I was refreshing pm101 and checking my email like crazy on may 15th. I think I will check mid day tomorrow and then around 6. No use going crazy and being stressed out, I am just going to enjoy the day and hope for the best...or at least I will give it my best shot!

What do you mean 30-40 rejected? Off the waitlist in total?

Oh, sorry for the ambiguity. I meant that 30-40 students declined their offer, so I'm assuming the waitlist moved by that much. Shouldn't have used the word rejected.

I think this is waaaay easier than waiting for the 15th. At least now I know that ubc thinks I COULD feasibly tackle medical school. Whether the wait list moves enough now to get me in is out of my control, but this is much better than my past 2 rejections. I'm not crazy after all! (well... )
