Aw that sucks! I was actually in CMS but I don't like the CPSC courses you have to take. The thing is though, my average GPA as a percent is relatively high, but my OMSAS GPA suffers because of a couple of B+'s. Kind of worried about that.

But it looks like your percentage will be high enough for UBC Med/dent at least considering you're in pharmco. Also UBC Dent is the easiest in Canada so you're fine if you want to go through the dent route haha.

I'm guessing you're talking about CPSC 110, that course sucks so I'll be taking something else instead haha.

Slashsev, come on. It's easy to misinterpret or place a certain tone on his posts, but he's here for advice. Telling him your hopes of him not getting in is not nice and is not something one comes here to hear. There are other productive ways of giving him a wake up call. I'm not trying to put anyone down or look down on anyone, but it's not necessary to say sh*t like that to anyone.

Money really does make the world go round.
So, I guess you are going to lie during your interview when they ask you why you want to go into medicine/dentistry?

At least OP was honest about it, but don't know about interview.. Anyways, everyone lies.

physician making 300k is possible. even family doc, but depends on the setup and the funding formula..

Dentist making 300k is also possible, depends on whether you own the practice or as an associate, and how busy you are and what kind of dentistry you are doing!

Money doesn't make the world goes round, it only makes it easier...... There are things that money can't buy!!

True, money can't buy you happiness, but certainly makes it easier if you haven't been damaged by money already.

The neurologist I work for makes $800,000 a year. He hasn't even reach the age of 40 yet. And i'm not trolling.

QFT. lol.

And I think you guys are misinterpreting what I'm all about. I'm not doing either career solely for the money (read my previous post on why I want to go into dentistry), but money is a HUGE motivator, especially if I'm spending a good portion of my life studying.
