I didn't get any calculation questions either. No point wasting too much time on epidemiology to be honest. I was surprised that there were only a few epidemiology questions in my exam. There were LOTS of ethics questions but most of them are common sense and you don't really need to study about them.
If you go to the back to basics course and sit through the ethics and epidemiology lectures, that should be enough. I had only 1 question on the Canadian Health Act. It was a MCQ asking which of the following is not part of the principles of the CHA. Easy question. You just need to know about the CUPPA as pointed out above. Oh and the Short Answer question section was the weirdest ever exam I've had. I wonder how the hell they mark this section? It wasn't that hard, but they were very vague and not clear about what they were asking. Last edited by Nady87 : 05-06-2012 at 05:26 PM. |

No I don't have any practice cases for epi, I did practice questions from a book in french but as many people already mentioned, there wasn't a lot of calculations on the actual exam. Had I known that I wouldn't have put as much time on epi as I did.
The afternoon session is indeed very weird. Some cases were very unclear, lacked information but they were asking for a precise dx. However keep in mind that it's only worth 25% of the whole exam.
