Great job guys. You waitlist pain ends sooner rather than later! Could you guys list the campus you were accepted at? Only cause I'm curious.

Thanks! Pretty sure I was regular wait-list.. there was nothing special in my wait-list e-mail other than saying I was wait-listed.

No. Manitoba, Calgary and Western could care less about graduate work.
Mac as far as I understood it only gives a boost to graduate degrees conferred, which I didn't have at the time of application.
Queen's probably gave me a second look because of the M.Sc before they interviewed me.

Well, firstly congrats on all those acceptances

Doesn't your gpa has to be ~3.75 for them to even consider you for an interview at western?

Yes, but only in your 2 best years. Mine were good enough, and MCAT was solid.

Default Apt For Sale: Ideal For Med Student!

Congrats class of 2013 for being accepted to MAC med school. I am an alumni and finished my residency training in Hamilton last year. I am looking to sell my 1-bedroom apt, which is located directly across from the university hospital. I lived there for 3 yrs of med school and 5 yrs of residency and enjoyed it very much. It is fully renovated and almost completely furnished. Pls. email me ASAP at jackiechu@hotmail.com if you are interested.

Default gahh

So I'm going into my 3rd year of health science @ western and just wanted to confirm that the mcmaster cutoff is 3.0, but to be competitive have >3.6? my first two year averages were br00tal (yr 1=70, yr2=70). course load this year should be much easier and hopefully gpa the next 2 years should be around 3.8's... in terms of ec's i do bjj/mma, shadowing the surgical transplant team at lhsc, volunteer research since year one and hopefully continuing all that this year.

thoughts?
