Default Interview Stats 2011

Thought it might be a good idea to set up a thread for interviewees to post their stats similar to other med school forums. NOSM is obviously a bit different so try to quantify your context score somehow, along with GPA, UG/ grad and your ABS estimate

Ex

Interview
4th year UG

GPA: 3.91
Context: Born and Raised Thunder Bay, university in southern ontario but returned for summers
ABS: lots of volunteering/ coaching, exec on multiple large clubs, some UG research volunteering (few pub mentions), extensive clinician shadowing

Interview
3rd year UG in Psychology
(Mature Student)

GPA: 3.67

Context: Born in Southern Ontario, lived in Northern Ontario since the age of 4. UG completed 100% via distance ed (Contact North/Lakehead), in 3 years, while working full-time and raising children. I am also a francophone.

ABS: I guess some of what I've written in for context belongs here too Also, I've done some physician shadowing, I coach for the Special Olympics, I coach minor soccer (3-5 yr olds), and sit on my town's Accessibility Advisory Committee. I've also put in many hours volunteering for Canadian Tire's Foundation for Families' Jumpstart program, have captained teams for Big Bike for Heart and Stroke and Relay for Life, several times each. I've done a bunch of other things that were on my ABS as well, but I will not list them all here.

Sorry that was so long-winded... this is what happens when you are a "mature" student
