Bear Tracks allows you to:
- update your contact information (address, phone number & e-mail address),
- view your application status including required items and admission decision,
- view the course listings and search the class schedule.
Once you have been admitted to the University of Alberta you will also be able to use Bear Tracks to register in courses, view your course timetable and check out your fee assessment.
To log into Bear Tracks use your Campus Computing ID (CCID) and password, which will be provided to you by Academic Information and Communication Technologies (AICT) within 2 business days (if it has not been assigned previously). It is critical that you keep your CCID and password confidential as they provide direct access to your university record.
The CCID and password will also enable you to use your University e-mail account. We will use your University of Alberta e-mail address to contact you from now on.
To use Bear Tracks go to the Office of the Registrar and Student Awards webpage at http://www.registrar.ualberta.ca/beartracks. This will take you to a Bear Tracks information page which includes links to the Bear Tracks User Guide and the Bear Tracks login page. If you have not used the Bear Tracks system before, please review the Bear Tracks User Guide.
If you encounter difficulties logging on to Bear Tracks do not respond to this e-mail, as it will not be read. Instead, please contact the AICT Helpdesk at: http://www.ualberta.ca/HELP

Bear Tracks: Log on to Bear Tracks with your CCID and password at https://www.beartracks.ualberta.ca for updates to your Application Status including the following:
-Programs to which you have applied
-To Do List (outstanding items/documents and due dates)
-Comments pertaining to your application if applicable
-Admission decisions
-Transfer credit if awarded
Documents: Where specified in Bear Tracks, arrange to have your documents sent directly from the issuing institution to the Office of the Registrar and Student Awards. Transcripts must bear the seal of the issuing agency and the signature of the issuing officer. For postsecondary transcripts, two copies are required.
Scholarships/Awards: Academic Excellence Scholarship automatic consideration/guarantee for high school students applying to Fall 2011 with final admission, see www.ualberta.ca/awards/academicexcellence. Apply for additional entrance awards at www.ualberta.ca/awards
Apply early for Residence at www.ualberta.ca/residence. There are guaranteed housing deadlines.
