Default Bad Bio, better GPA?

Do medical schools care about what you got on the pre-reqs more than your other courses??

If not, it seems wierd to accept someone in medicine who only got a 2.0 in bio, but like a 4.0 in his major (let's say history).

I doubt they will hold 1 bad grade against you.
If you got a great gpa and had a minor hiccup in bio, they will most likely look past it.

Why? Basic first year biology has very little to do with the practice of medicine.
