I just realized that as a graduate applicant to Mac, I should have the chair of my department to send a letter indicating he's aware of my application to medical school this year. One of my referees is am emeritus program director. Would this ref letter suffice or am I screwed?

I think if one of your referees is your department chair, supervisor, graduate coordinator, or on you thesis committee, then you don't need an additional letter. If none of your referees fall into any of these categories, then you'll need to get one of those people to sign a letter and send it by the fastest way possible. You can copy the letter I had my supervisor sign if you want (well, you'll obviously have to change the details):
August 26, 2010 Re: astrogirl OMSAS ID _________ To whom it may concern: I am astrogirl's thesis supervisor. She is starting her last year of her Ph.D. in astronomy, and I have been advised of her application to medical school. Sincerely, astrogirl's supervisor |
