Are Algoma, Kenora, Parry Sound, Sudbury the only places considered to be underserviced?
Where do you find this info on the Ottawa website? ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks, Emila |

Good question... I'm not sure exactly which centres are included... I know, as i have said before, that it is directly related to their Mission Statement... but not sure which is included. I am fairly certain that all the centres north of Sudbury are also included (eg: Timmins, Kirkland Lake, Kapuskasing...)
Sorry i can't help you out more. |

Hi Emila,
By providing the UWO Admissions Office your county name they can tell you if it is considered an underserviced area. Gowith, |

Is there another way to find out what areas are underserviced? I don't want to bother the admissions office, especially this time of year. What are the cutoffs for underserviced areas?

Scotty,
I e-mailed Ottawa to ask if my area was underserviced and they responded the next day. I don't think it's a problem to e-mail them. They told me they don't post which areas are underserviced, you have to ask. |

Hey Emila, can you provide me with the email adress you used? Also, what cutoff's so underserviced area people have to meet?
Thanks so much! ~Scotty |

admissmd@uottawa.ca is the e-mail address.
If you look in "about cutoff this year..." thread it lists the cutoffs for the different regions. Hope this helps |

What is an underserviced area? Why do they have different cut-offs?

In May of 2010 I e-mailed the admission office to inquire if my region still fits in the under serviced admission stream. I was advised that the under serviced stream no longer exists and has been replaced by the Champlain district as defined by LHIN. If you want to find out if your region is considered underserviced..find a LHIN champlain map and look it up...
good luck! |

You bumped a really old thread, but like another person said, the underserviced areas have been replaced by the Champlain LHIN. It covers the Ottawa, Renfrew, Lanark, Prescott, Dundas, Glengarry, Russell, and Stormont areas.
