They notify you only through your U of A webmail account... a little bit annoying!

Default Time Stamps?

Hi guys,

I just noticed the last post - would the next set of posters mind supplying a time stamp regarding invites and rejections? I'm interested as to whether the e-mails were sent in a batch or over the course of the day.

Default invite IP

shocked and thrilled as UofA is a wicked school!
GPA- < 3.5 (seriously.......not lying)
MCAT - 35Q
graduate degree holder, dual undergrad degrees
ECs - I don't think anything special, but I do have the typical list plus 5 yrs work exp.

I did think a bunch about how to best answer the questions on the application (mini-essays) and although i don't know how well i did, i guess i didn't screw it up!

Unfortunately my GPA still means that 30% of my application is anchored down pretty bad and doing well on the interview may not be enough.......still......gotto fight this out right?

Absolutely. I think you are underestimating your credentials sv3; maturity and life experience matters, just hope the people reading your application see it.

thanks. Its just that the interview is only worth 25% and the GPA 30%. Always being anchored down by grades that are ~10 yrs old really hurts but that's my fault. I'll have to block out the fact that nailing the interview (if that were to happen) still might not be enough but i guess that's true for anyone with a somewhat lower gpa.

I definitely think maturity helps - i'm sure it helped me get the interview. Hopefully my pre-interview score isn't as bad as I think it is. Either way, in a few days hopefully I'll get into the zone where it doesn't bother me.

cheers
