md/phd: mcats?

Hi all,

Does anybody know how mcat scores figure into applications for md/phds? I haven't worried about my very-average mcat scores because they meet the 8/8/8 cutoff, but I am suddenly wondering if they will be a big impediment when applying to the md/phd program? Will good gre scores be an asset, if available?
