Default involvement in community question

for the description of how you are involved in your community, are you guys writing only what you are presently doing or what you have also done in the recent past?

Anyone can go out a few months before the applications are to be submitted...and get involved in their community to 'look good on paper' (not to say that everyone who hasn't volunteered for years is doing this... but it sometimes can seem a little suspicious)

I personally think there is value in showing a pattern here... is community involvement important to you? Prove it by past record and reinforce it by the present.

if community involvement is something that is important to you, then usually you have given somehow, during your lifetime... the logical deduction step is that perhaps, you will then continue to be involved later too... and give back when you are part of that community and working as a physician.
