So if all works out for me this year and I am accepted by a med school, I will still be in residency/school when my child starts university. When I mentioned this to my family, my loving dear child stated "as long as I don't have to sit with you at lunch, it would be too embarassing."
......so much for thinking I was a "cool" parent! LOL! |

My mom went back to school when I was in my final year of undergrad. We had a class together...it was great, instant study friend...

That sounds like fun! As much as your kid would probably deny it, you're probably the coolest parent around because of that. And as haikuguy said - instant study partner, and someone to get notes for you if you are sick and can't make it to class!

lol ... little difficult for a child not to do well at school when mom/dad is also attending! Hopefully they don't start asking you for a 'doctor's note' to miss classes!
As I go into residency - three of my 4 kids will be starting their post-secondary educations ...I should have bought a bigger piggy bank! |
