emergency room

I recently went to an emergency room in toronto. It was a non teaching hospital.

1 doctor and 6 nurses for all of those patients. The nurses were nice and tried to deal with all of the patients, but they were way too over worked. More nurses were needed.

1 doctor! what a doctor! this guy must have been >70 years old, and he really didn't have a clue what was going on. he was incredibly slow, and backed up the emergency room incredibly. I saw a someone enter the emergency room bleeding but it took so long for the doctor to seeh him he just got up and left. I am positive he needed a better dressing and stitches.

Amazing. I couldn't believe it. as medical students don't you feel this system just living on it's last breath? if it takes 5 hours for a physician just to see you, I think we have a problem.
