Anyone know what the GPA cut-off is for Ottawa applicants? I've heard it hovered around 3.7 from years past but I dunno if it's gone down or up recently.

"Malheureusement, votre dossier d'études ne rencontre pas ce premier critère. La moyenne pondérée minimale (MPC) des notes requises pour la catégorie des candidats avec le statut hors province se situe à 3,87 / 4,00. Je regrette que votre demande d’admission ne puisse avancer dans le cheminement du processus de sélection."

Upon searching; "french stream applicants from the provinces of Ontario and Quebec have a seperate stream, whereas individuals from other provinces apply through the CNFS program (Consortium National de Formation en Sante). The wGPA cutoff for each is 3.67 and 3.6 respectively"
seems conflicting. can anyone confirm what the cutoffs are for OOP, specifically montreal, quebec, for the french stream? stupid question, but i'm assuming the letter will also have to be written in french?

I'm not entirely sure but if it helps my cousin from Montreal applied to the French stream with a wGPA of 3.77 and they told him his academic marks were too low.

I may be wrong. That quote was a search that may be from a couple years ago.
Best bet would to email or call admissions, though right now might not be the best time since they are probably busy with waitlist movement and acceptances.

GPA cut-offs don't explain some of these invites. I wonder what kind of formula they are using.

If your from quebec you can be part of 2 different applicant pools.

Pool 1 : 3.87 cutoff (includes anyone from quebec and oop that are not from Outaouais)

Pool 2 : if your from Outaouais then the cut off is in the ~3.67

Source : contacted admissions departement

I believe amykey11 was part of pool 1.

Yes, I confirm. I'm from Montreal, Quebec and thus was placed in the OOP French pool which had a cut-off of 3.87.

I was looking through the furoms and I noticed you got into Harvard Med.
Some how you are also claiming to have gotten an Interview at Ottawa Med with a 3.75 wGPA last year?
Can someone verify if that's possible since Ottawa doesn't look at Grad work....or is this guy trolling about getting into a bunch of Ivey league med schools?
