For those of you with multiple acceptances, do you sometimes regret your choice of medical school in the end?

Yeah, sometimes I do really regret not choosing U of T. But I think there would have been regrets either way - it was a tough choice and both schools are great. In the end I'm just grateful to be going to medical school at all.

For every opportunity you take, there is always an opportunity cost. As a result, everyone regrets his/her decisions one way or the other to varying degrees.

Nope
![]() There are aspects of U of A that I liked, but not enough to move to edmonton, Calgary -> I need my summers, and Ottawa -> too far away from BC and really had nothing that particularly stood out to me as pro vs other schools... I sometimes wonder what it would've been like at the other schools but I never wish I could go back and change it, UBC is awesome, and BC is awesome!

I am so excited about going to Queen's and know that I made the right decision. However, sometimes I think about how much easier things would have been if I had chosen U of A because I live in Alberta right now and a cross country move is a lot of work. Plus, I will be farther away from family and the U of A hospital serves a really big area.
I do know I that I would have a lot more regrets if I had declined Queen's!

I only regret my decision whenever I turn on my computer to look for a place to live near school on MLS (and die a little bit inside) because of the 450+/month condo fees.

Nope. So far, I have no regrets about it.

I have the opposite regret... I wish I applied to UWO to see if I would have gotten an interview there.... I didn't want to be triple purple with ALL my degrees from Western (actually, it would be QUAD purple with MD/PhD !!) but it would have been so much easier for me to have stayed in London....and I could have actually afforded to buy a house which is IMPOSSIBLE for me in Toronto...

I sometimes think I would've made life easier for myself if I chose western because then I could be much closer to my boyfriend. I sometimes also think about how I'd be done a year earlier if I chose Mac, allowing me to start a family a bit sooner. But, at the same time I don't think these are good enough reasons to pick a school. I chose queens because I thought the school and curriculum fit me best so in the end it was the right decision. There's always going to be some doubts though for anyone who has options.

I live in Vancouver and I chose U of T over UBC.
Last 4 years I've been studying in US and now that I am finally back in Vancouver, I don't want to leave... UBC has the beach, the mountain, friendly people, etc etc. It's not really a regret (yet) but more of "what if". In the end, I chose UT bc I am a research person and I like the long history and reputation UT has.
