Killing Time

I am anxious just reading your emails, it is an awful wait I know!

I got in the last year you were allowed to phone in. I had been under the impression that all the acceptances were mailed out special courier so that you would receive it on May 31st.... So when I arrived home from work my heart sank when there was nothing but then my neighbour mentioned that his friend had called in and received an acceptance but not received a package...

Soooo... I found my folder of applications and found my letter from Mac with their number on it... Kept getting a busy signal and FINALLY at 3 minutes to 5 pm (when the office was closing), I got through. The nice woman asked for my OMSAS number. When I gave it to her she paused for what seemed like forever and said "I'm sorry" -- this time my I think my heart was beating in my toes... So I said quivering "Umm is there any chance I'm on the waiting list?" Another long long pause... "No I mean I don't think that is your number!" It turns out I gave her my number from my application the year before! Fortunately it all turned out very well and I got in... It was nice to be able to find out by phone but I gather there may have been a mistake made that year and they decided it was much safer to just send letters like all the rest of the schools...

Anyways, best of luck to all of you. I really hope it works out well for all of you. I'll definitely be checking back regularly to hear the results and keeping my fingers crossed for you all.
