Dentist Salary?

Does anyone know what one can expect to make straight out of dental school? And also just the "average" salary of someone who has worked for several years?

Really and truly, I'm trying to compare it to the salary of a family doctor because I'm still unsure about what I want to do.

I think medicine is more appealing, but I'm hesitant about residency (the length especially), and the hours (though FM work relatively normal hours I heard), so salary is kind of my tipping point.
