Default UQ

Has anyone on here got accepted to UQ or is currently an IMG at UQ?

I got accepted this year, but having trouble deciding whether to take the offer or not. I've read a lot about the school, the internship "tsunami", and the difficulties of coming back. I want to get a sense of how Canadians in these situations are feeling.

Thanks!

which province are you in? You have a gpa drop in 4th year which wouldn't look so great, but your cgpa shouldn't be too bad? Without knowing your ECs, it's difficult to gauge your chances. Your mcat needs improvement obviously, and I would advise retaking it at least once before thinking of applying abroad. This is probably not your mentality, but please don't simply apply abroad because you DON'T want to further improve your application - that's not an excuse.

Accepted at: RCSI .. haven't heard a word from any other Irish schools.
cGPA: 3.70 (steady upward trend)
MCAT (PS,VR,BS,WS): 10/11/09 S
Graduated with BSc June 2012
ECs: Pretty average - a few long term volunteering commitments, publication, varsity sports team 4 years.
Interview: I thought it went very well during and after.

Decision: Although I have received nothing but rejections from Canadian schools, I am leaning towards hanging tight for a year and reapplying. I feel like if I apply just once to Canadian schools, I'd be doing myself a disservice.

Congratz, if you really want to go to a Canadian school, yes definitely give it another shot

have you considered rewriting the mcat?

So at the UL interview this past Friday, it was tossed around that they would be making decisions and letting us know by Tuesday (tomorrow). However, this just came from one of the interviewees and I never actually heard any of the UL or ABP staff say it. Can anyone confirm this? And will waitlisted people just not be told anything? Thanks.
