Here's a website set up by a Canadian, who was attending medical school at the University of Glasgow, and is attempting to gain a residency in Canada for post-graduate specialization. There's a ton of good links here, in addition to a small message forum.

If you are thinking of leaving Canada to study medicine, you may want to check in here to see what your chances are of returning to Canada to do a residency. The current CaRMS policy is that only students graduating/graduated from Canadian medical schools can apply for the first round of matches through CaRMS. Students who graduate from other medical schools (eg. US, UK, Australian, Caribbean, etc) cannot match via CaRMS until the second round, whether they were originally from Canada or not.
