has anyone gotten the general letter about interviews?

I have not received a hard copy letter, however I did receive an email from the admissions office. So maybe check your email.

Are you an in-province applicant or OOP?

I'm in province but living in Calgary ( recent move ). I see on their web site general letters should be received by feb.15. I wonder if I'm not getting a letter ( or interview!! ) or if the mail is just slow.:eek

not to fear. i'm an in province applicant currently attending the u of s and i have not received anything yet nor heard of anyone who has. though i've heard interviews are scheduled for the weekend of march 15.

I noticed your name on the U of A board ethan...did you apply as oop?

Hey Sassy101,

I know what it is like to wait for that letter or email, especially from your home province school. I just went through that with UofA. I am crossing my fingers for you and I am sure you will receive a letter this week.

Interviews for UofS are: March 15th and March 16th (that may be just for OOP, not sure?)

yes i applied to u of a as oop. my interview is on the 18th. i can't recall offhand, but did you apply there as well?

as for the odds at u of s, they should be quite good. apparently even with lowering the mcat requirement to accept the "random 7" applications are only up 7-15 (or some suprisingly small number) compared to last year.

Hey ethan,

I did apply to U of A...my interview is on Feb.21. I also have heard the odds for U of S acceptance are good. I am patiently waiting for the general leter ( well...not patiently ).
I am fairly nervous about my U of A interview. ( and honestly a little suprised to get one ) Congrats on getting an oop interview! I have always been told getting an interview for U of A oop is tough.
