how critical is it to have one and what would i use it for?

We have our own computer lab, and there are computers in the medical library. You definitely don't NEED one, but I had one at home because I didn't like being at school all day and night. Dal has wireless internet, so if you do get a laptop, get one with a wireless ethernet card built in..

We don't write many papers (3) during the year.

Do we have to print off a lot of stuff? (i.e. notes)

Hey

All of the notes that are put up on medix are always printed out. You (usually) get them before class. However, they CAN be rather late. You have lots of computer access at school, but a laptop is what I use at home.


Printing in the med comp area is $0.05/page in the library it is $0.10/page... Go figure.
