Tought interview question

Does anyone have any idea how to answer the question "Did you apply to medicine?" (and if the answer is YES)

how about saying that medicine would serve as a second choice should the dental application fall through?
Then try to give reasons why you would choose dents over meds (better hours, enjoy working with hands, etc)

I know this is not good advice, but if you didn't also apply to that school for meds they might not be able to find out if you lied and told them "no"...

Does this even get asked? I mean, the question of "Did you apply for medicine?"

I don't know about anything that specific, but it's not uncommon for them to ask about "alternative careers" that the applicant is interested in, and why they are choosing dentistry instead of other health professions.
