To all of us hopefuls,
If you are accepted, NEVER FORGET WHY you went into medicine. The saddest thing to see is a disillusioned and jaded physician. Please remember that whether or not medicine turns out to be what you anticipated, you are in a position of privilege.
Having the opportunity to assist another human being at their time of greatest need is the ultimate privilege ;)
