Hi guys,

I was recently looking at McGill's website, and they stated that, "minimum credits should not include compulsory laboratory or practical work".

So does this mean that if I am required to take a physics course, and I then take another physics course at my university, it only counts as half a year of physics for McGill, and won't fulfill the physics requirement?

Thanks,

Gagan

I was under the impression that it meant that laboratory work doesn't count as extra credits. So for example if you took a physics class and a compulsory physics lab with it, you get credit for the class but the lab has no credit value (but it's still mandatory for you to take).
That's how it works at my university where I'm doing my undergrad.
So essentially I think they are saying that to fulfill the course requirements, you can only count the course in terms of credits; labs don't count towards your credits.
Hopefully I'm not misinterpreting your question!

But as future_doc said, it's best to contact them directly for clarification.

Their Email address is located on their website

http://www.mcgill.ca/medadmissions/aboutus

Took me 2 seconds to Google that. You should try Google sometimes.

I did try to Google that; had I not, I would not have said, "I don't know where to find their email address".

I posted this thread to ask a question. I'd prefer that you not answer my question at all if you have to answer in such a condescending manner.

Thanks,

Gagan
