First off, my apologies for the forum software wiping out your message! It's incredibly frustrating, especially if you've just typed out a long message, for it to be deleted by the above header. Here's why it happens:
The forum software isn't very smart, and is designed to prevent people from writing html code into their messages. The most common reason why this occurs, is usually by accident, when people type out text that is interpreted as an html command.
By far the most frequent, and an easily preventable occurence, is when you type the following, in the attempt to simulate an arrow:
--*>
If you type the above, but remove the *, that "arrow" actually represents an html command, which will cause the rest of your message to be rejected. Not using this "arrow" will prevent most of the "HTML Comments are not Allowed" errors that occur.
