Heya,

EZBoard has a feature where you can send private messages between users. This can be useful if you want to contact someone else with personal information (ie. an email address or phone number) or want to discuss a topic without posting it on the public forums.

I believe that many of the people who have recently registered on EZBoard (in the last year or so?) have their inboxes enabled by default, but many other users might not. If you want to be able to receive private messages, you may need to activate this feature. Conversely, you can send private messages to anyone as long as the recipient has enabled his/her inbox.

Here's how you enable your ezInbox so you can receive private messages.

1) Click on "My Control Center" (top left on any forum page)

2) Click on "Account Preferences" (middle-top of the screen)

3) Click on "Enable ezInbox" (beside the "Privacy and Security" header, you'll need to scroll down to see this)

The EZBoard Inbox can be accessed by clicking on the ezInbox link in the top right corner of any forum page. Usually, EZBoard notifies you of any new messages by flashing up a notice in that top right corner, although it occasionally seems to be buggy.

If you want to send a private message to another user, you can just click on their screen name, and that will take you to a link where you can send them a message, if their ezInbox is enabled.
