I was just wondering...when a school calculates the GPA based on the 'best full year and last year', what does "last year" mean. I am currently a third year undergrad and will apply to med this September (entering class of 2002), so is it my third year or my fourth year that is counted towards the "last year"?

Are you talking Western? The "last year" is the year that you apply, so for you it would be the 2001-02 school year.
