How hard is it to get into Veterinary School?

How high does you GPA have to be?
How much Volunteer experience..(like number of hours, where)
When should you start volunteering
MCAT scores?

Anything else??
I really want to go to Vet school but everyone says its so competitive.
I'm a senior in high school and any undergrad program that will help?

I'm not interested in vet but I have a few friends who do and this is what I picked up from them:

Since Guelph is the only vet school in Ontario, might be best to go there and take something animal related like Animal Bio? Plus, they have a lot of opportunities (in the vet school) to work with animals and I'm pretty sure you need references from actual vets in your application.
