Registration & Orientation

Hi All,

I'm wondering about registration and orientation dates for the incoming class. Has anyone received any info relating to those items? I was under the impression that a package was to be sent out late June or early July.

Those of us in and around St. John's haven't recieved anything yet either. Some people last year didn't get anything until mid-July. Hopefully we will see something in the next week or so!

From what I understand the only thing we need to worry about until we get there and start O week (the 22nd) is finding a place to live, registering for a set class schedule (which should not take you more than a half hour, so you can wait until mid aug if you want), and if you want the air miles on your visa and not have your student loan dinged instead you have to pay your tuition by august 22nd. Everything else will just be easier to hammer out in O week.

I understand, I am going batty with anticipation almost, but my friends there just keep telling, forget about it, and everything takes care of itself once you get there. As for registering, if you haven't gotten anything by mid-august, then maybe look into it.

edit: thought i'd add I have not heard a thing from them since my acceptance letter either

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that I talked to the Student affairs people last week and they said that they were going to mail out the packages by friday, so you should be getting them soon. I haven't got mine either. I am exepecting anyday now, mail may be slower because of the whole Halifax airport thing too.
