Cricket world cup is going great so far and Pakistan- India match is going to be quite tense to say the least and looking forward to some fierce competition. Go Pakistan!!

However, when the world cup rolls around for any sport, it does provide worthy entertainment.

Also, there've been no upsets. South Africa and India have been favourites since the beginning and both are advancing.

Yup march 30th at 1:30 am if you are in Vancouver. When it comes to Pakistan vs India in cricket esp. world cup it really is more than just an ordinary game, it becomes a matter of respect. A bit similar in emotions to Canada vs America in the hockey final last year .

Average score by the Indian squad...I thought they'd go for 300 at least by the way that the openers were playing. Things to consider:

1) Pak batting isn't so great right now
2) India has several pace bowlers and also a bunch of spinners
3) The pitch is slow so pak batting won't be able to use the pace of the bowlers to get the boundaries...they'll have to work for their runs.

I'm sure they're are plenty of Indian cricket photos available at a click, but you cant live without warmongering. The ONLY thing separating Indian team from the Pakistanis today was maturity and discipline. 260 was nothing even when Afridi came out but that d*******g had to sky a needless delivery. I'm sure Dhoni would have played sensibly in his place. A very pathetic display.

Indians and pakistanis don't need to become friends, we should in fact keep a distance, but at the same time be political allies.. or the world will keep taking advantage of both of us.

Kashmir will never be independent. But the 95% muslim portion might as well be controlled by Pakistan and the other region should be controlled by India.

Also, Pakistan and afghanistan were 100% hindu/buddhist for a long time, so we share some culture. However, pakistanis have adopted most of arabic islamic culture since, so there's a large difference now.

This is why we shouldn't be 'friends', but we should have goodwill towards each other and be allies.

A stable Pakistan = A more stable India, and vice-versa!

If someone picks on a Pakistani for his race or ethnicity, I'll be first one to come by their side.

Just wondering, is there any evidence that diverse communities thrive more than homogeneous ones?

Not getting into India vs. Pakistan. Although I feel like one country is our ally while the other our "ally". We'll see what the future holds, hopefully the instability in those regions won't spread into communities here in Canada.
