Current Oncology, a Canadian online and paper-based oncology journal published, is starting a new website to supplement its regular offerings by creating an interactive forum for physicians, residents, and students to discuss, debate and learn about new developments in oncology-related fields.
We will also be featuring content specifically geared towards residents in oncology-related programs and medical students interested in pursuing those careers. Discussions with top names in the field, study aids for all levels, and resident-level primers to get you up to speed on big issues and debates is just some of the content we will be featuring.
Since CaRMS interview time is approaching, we will be conducting interviews with the current program director and chief resident of a Canadian radiation oncology residency program to give students insights into the application process, resident training, and oncology as a career.
Anyone interested should post any questions they would like asked in our interviews on this forum; please indicate, if it is not obvious, whether you want your question directed to the PD, chief resident or both. We will be sure to include as many suggested questions as we can to provide the most relevant information to prospective oncology residents. Students applying to, or interested in learning about, any oncology related field are invited to participate. Keep checking back on these forums for updates and information on the interviews and the rest of our new online offerings.
