Are all of the new spots for the anglo pool, i.e. the split was 40/71 before?

I believe that regional quotas are only used in inviting people to interviews...

Currently there are 121 spots in the first year class (Meds 2005). 82 anglo, 39 francophone. 111 are from the OMSAS quota, and the remaining 10 are subsidized using other sources (3 from Saudi Arabia, and 7 from the Program National for Francophones). This year there will be 12 more OMSAS spots added to that, meaning 123 (for regular OMSAS applicants) or 133 spots in total.

I was told by the lady at my interview that there are no quotas and everyone fights for the same 123 spots. The restrictions on #'s were only to get to the interview stage
