Suppose one gets into a somewhat difficult undergrad program.
Does bad, idk lets say 3.0 and then decides to switch programs in order to get better grades easily for med.

How will the adcoms view this if he ends up applying years later.

What are the negative effects if you switch from a hard program to an easier one just to attain the necessary grades for med?

Thank you and have a good evening.

I don't believe there are any negative consequences, itis about the GPA period.

Program doesn't matter. If they happen to ask you for reasons during an interview, have something ready.

small follow up question.

There is no such thing a clean slate once you enter university correct? Meaning if a program switch is made, the bad gpa attained in the old program will still be accounted for when applying?

Save for UBC and the ten year rule, your grades in UG follow you forever.
