I think someone said that orientation week at U of O for first-year students is actually two weeks. I'm just curious as to when that starts normally (i.e. are both weeks in August?).

That was me. I usually starts the first day that everyone else start in University (probably Sept 1st or 2nd for this year). During the first week, there are no classes to attend. During the second week, there are little intro seminars and stuff...nothing important...and the people presenting know that you're still in frosh mode so there's no work load either. The second week consists of mostly evening events any way. Nothing conflicts with your schedule so even if you're keen on attending all the presentations, you can still make every event. I didn't miss a SINGLE event and I'm glad I didn't. Too many good times would have been missed!
Hope to see you in September! Muuuaaahahahahaha!
