grading system

looking at the mcgill ugme site i got the impression that evaluations are made and reported on the standard percentage scale. is this correct or has there been a transition to p/f or h/p/f grading?

on a related note, i have heard/read little regarding the competitive/cooperative atmosphere amongst mcgill med students. any comments would be appreciated.

Hey Ethan,

The basic science years (1.5 yrs) of mcgill and simple pass/fail.. no honours.... which makes for a GREAT environment.

As for the competitive aspect.. certainly there are people who are up for competing for grades so if u are seeking this its there.... but, overall it is an incredibly cooperative environment, conducive to learning and a great bunch of people.
