What is a competitive GPA for a 3rd year student applying to U to T?

not sure
i applied with high 3.7s last year - no interview

The way I see it, as long as you're above or at 3.80 it's worth a shot, even if you are in 3rd year. 3.83 is our class's average and before that it was 3.84. Hope this helps.

thats not cumulative GPA is it?
ie, that 3.83 is calculated using UT's system of using the best two years and 0.5 times the other year right?

It's using U of T's "converted GPA." So two best years + 0.5 the worst if you're applying in fourth year, and just your first two years if you apply in third year.
