I'm so sorry if the question is repetitive but I just need some clarifications on full course load and u of t med school.
I just cancelled a course today so now I'm taking 4 courses in first term and 5 in second term. I'm planning on taking a course during this summer to make up for the course I cancelled so I have 10 credits before going into second year program. But then I'm aware that it won't technically be a "full course load" as I'm only taking 9 courses during the fall/winter session.
Now, people around me are telling me that now I'm not eligible to apply for u of t med school because one of their requirements is full course load.
Is this true? If so, what can I do now since I cancelled the course already and have no intention in enrolling in a new course at this time of the year (even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to since the first term's almost over already).

p.s. I'm in first year.

Thank you.

you can still apply to the uoft med school, but you won't get their weighting formula (drop certain amount of courses per year of study). So you're good to apply, just keep in mind you need to do really well in all your classes, since your average won't benefit with a weighting formula (exception: you send them a letter saying you should get the weighting formula because....)
