I heard that med schools won't count a 1st year course mark if I take it in 3rd/4th year. Is this true?
I just thought that 60% of your courseload had to be at your year.

I think that this has been discussed in many posts. I would recommend searching there first.

I know it's been discussed, but I just wanted to confirm it cause its really stressing me out based on what the counsellors said =S
You can as long as your program allows it, but you need to make sure that for certain schools (Toronto and Western in particular), you need at least 60% 3rd/4th year courses. In addition, schools are able to make adjustments to your GPA based on your courses, so you don't want to take too many random courses since they won't look good on your transcript and you might be forced to justify your course selection (imagine seeing someone getting A+'s in both random 1st year courses and B+'s in the higher level ones).
