Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum! I've been dropping by to check posts every now and again but haven't posted anything until now.

I am a BC resident so I'm applying to UBC. My question is, how many schools does one usually apply to? Any other schools you might think which is relatively easier to get in for OOPs?

Also, if I do apply to more than one school, should I use the same 3 references for all the schools I apply to? Is this common practice? I keep thinking this would be imposing too much trouble on my references.

Thanks!

^i can't answer alot of those questions. but for OOP UofT has no provincial bias for canadian residents.

you can use the same references or use other references. it's totally up to you. just make sure you meet the school's reference requirements.

Hey! I know what you mean...I feel really guilty about asking referees to fill out like 5 different assessment forms, especially when some of them are long! But there's not much you can do really unless you're lucky enough to have 5 or 6 people who could write you great reference letters. Just make sure you thank them properly, are very appreciative and give them plenty of time since you're placing a larger burden on them by giving them multiple assessmnts to do. Oh and make sure you're upfront about what you need from them (ie. let them know how many different forms they'll have to do and how many copies of the letter you'll need) so they know what they are getting themselves into.
