I just realized that if I only inserted one space rather than two spaces after each period (end of sentance), I could conserve the number of available characters at my disposal? Does anybody recommend against doing this?

It didn't hurt my Queen's app, at least. :) I'd avoid doing any contractions though, but I remember using the thesaurus a couple times to find a smaller word to use instead of larger words.

Hi doctorfunk, I certainly wouldn't recommend against one space vs. two. I am doing mine with one space and I think it actually looks tidier than the traditional 2-spaces approach. Besides, we need all the characters we can possibly get. :) Good luck with your application. All 5 schools? Tanya.

I did the one space thing last year and it didn't hurt me at all...

All 5.
The only additional school submission that I have completed so far is Western's. :)

doctorfunk,
The graphic design specialist I used to work for indicated that two spaces after a period is not correct in printed media or electronic media. Apparently a single space after a period is the "accepted norm" these days.

doctorfunk,
lol! Sounds like you're right on schedule. Still 16 days to go, after all. Good luck!
Tanya.
