What info do the interviewers have about you?

Hey guys,

I am wondering what info from an applicant's file the interviewers have while interviewing. Basically, is it close file or open file. Also, to the moderators, I am wondering how mandatory the tour is. I was thinking of going to another one on another day. Is that possible?Thanks!

<pagetext>Hi there,

It was mentioned this weekend that there were a lot fewer candidates who were invited to Calgary for interviews this year. Last year, for example, there were supposed to have been ~500 interviews to fill the 100 spots. However, this year there have been ~270 candidates invited for interview to fill those 100 spots.

Does anyone have any idea as to why there has been such a great reduction in the number of interviewees this year? Is it due to some inherent part of the pre-interview selection process, e.g., an inflexible rating bar that must be reached for any applicant to merit an interview, or some other sort of factor, e.g., fewer resources with which to cope with 500 interviewees? :rolleyes
