Now that I'm getting really ancy waiting for replies from schools, I've been contemplating whether it's worth applying to an American university as a Canadian. My situation is sort of strange in that my academic and non-academic are nothing spectacular but I somehow managed to get a really high MCAT score. I wouldn't even consider an American university if I hadn't got the score I did.
So does anyone know the real dirt on how it works with the MCAT down south? I mean is it really that much more important to them?
And is there a usual list of med schools in the states that Canadians apply to? I think I remember someone telling me once that there are certain schools that don't care if you are not American or in-state.
By the way, I don't have a science background, is this a problem too?
