Hello,
What would be the best way to travel to and from the airport? Are there any sort of shuttles? Are there cabs around? Will I have to phone a cab? How far is it from the airport to the school?
Anyone else flying Jetsgo out of Toronto on Thursday morning?

There's always plenty of cabs waiting at the airport. Its about a 10 minute drive from MUN and should cost about $15-$20.
You can get more info here:

Good Luck w/ the interview!
If you're up for it, the airport is within walking distance (more of a suggestion for the way home)
I walked back to the airport when i had my interview, probably took me 1.5 to 2 hours, but you walk by alot of parks and a museum of somekind (didn't have time to check it out). It was a really nice walk.
Only problem with it is for some reason the gouvernment of newfoundland seems to think plowing sidewalks is unimportant, but still recommending the walk one way.

there are plenty of taxis at the airport, but they all charge super high fees. i didn't know this, and got stuck with one when i had my interview. if you can, find out the number for a local cab company and give them a call from the airport. should save you around $10.:)

I changed the frown to a smile...
About the cabs, I believe one company (City Wide Taxi), got an exclusive contract with the airport (who I believe gets a cut of the fares). As a result, cab fares from the airport are more expensive than in the rest of the city.
However, as leafsone said, you can *TRY* calling a local company. Jiffy cabs # is (709)722-2222. If they are willing to come to the airport for you, you'll probably be able to get to the univrsity for around $10.
