Computers

This is a bit premature (since I haven't been accepted, and it's a fairly pointless concern), but I was just wondering - what kind of computer is more suitable to a med students work load, particularly a student at MUN? A mac or a pc? Desktop of laptop? And do you really need something top of the line, or just something to write your papers on?

I'm in the market for a new computer, and hopefully this is something I'll have to take into account.
