I'm considering joining QMO or QPID because I'm interested in helping people overseas. How would the admissions commitee regard this on my application? Do they have a high regard for these clubs? thanks in advance

If you are interested in it, and can make a serious committment to the program, I'm sure the adcom's would be fascinated with your stories of those travels. However, if you're doing it just for the admissions committee's benefit, I should tell you that the most important part of any extra-curricular activity is usually to show that you are committed to it.
